Oh My Achin' Back

Yesterday when I played tennis, I hurt my mid-back, left side. Then at work while lifting Mack into a chair, it got a lot worse. I'm hurtin' and it sucks. Can't dance or play tennis. Thought about going on a walk, but I honestly think I shouldn't do that either. I'm not trying to get out of exercising; no, really. I'm going to put Vaporub on it and a heating pad.

OMG... The French Open starts tomorrow! ESPN2 has coverage and CBS probably with have the Finals. Also, TennisChannel.com will be streaming matches. Happy dance!


Maria lost yesterday in Istanbul to Aravane Rezai who also beat Venus Rezai earlier. Someone on WTAWorld Forum, made the comment that many players scream when they hit the ball, but with Aravane, it's the ball that screams. She a very hard hitter. Good luck to her in the French as well to Maria, of course. Clay is not her favorite surface.

Rosie... No more of "The View". The show's website says she'll be on Monday... live on Memorial Day? Or was it pre-taped? We'll see. The way the show went to a split screen during the argument with Elizabeth and that they didn't go to a commercial really doesn't sit well with me. I think I'm done with it.

Well, I've gone and done it! I bought an iPod Shuffle. I have said & said that I'd wait until I lost another 10 pounds. Oh well. I cashed in my coinage and got $70 so I thought, what the hell... I'm going to get it. I had also wanted to order it through Apple.com in order to get the free engraving "Move Maria Move" but I needed the instant gratification. I was in such a pissy mood after work. Traffic was ridiculous, bank was sooo crowded, I hadn't eaten since 11 am. I really think that was my first time using "Retail Therapy". It definitely helped. I got the blue one. It's a different blue than the Mini. It's simplt too cute for words!

La Diva Anastacia

In 2002, Anastacia was on VH1's Divas Las Vegas Show. Her voice blew me away! "One Day In Your Life" has to be in my Top 20 All-Time Favorite Songs. I really love it! I found her performance from the show on YouTube. I made it small cause the video quality isn't great and besides, it's the audio I wanted to share.

I have 2 other of her songs on my iPod and plan to get more, especially a the Almighty Remix of this song. (It is sooo good.) She really has a great voice!

I found this clip as well. This was from Lifetime's Women Rock - a breast cancer awareness benefit. This was only months after Anastacia was diagnosed with the disease. BeBe Wyans is the man singing with her. The song is "Heavy On My Heart".

I love it! I got it from Dick's for $79.99. I came home to drop off stuff I bought and went right to play with it. It felt good. I hit some good one hand backhands. I hope to be able to play with my brother tomorrow when they (him & his wife) come over for Mother's Day.

I am so psyched! Que Lindo! Chevere!

New Diet Pepsi

I drank (2) 20 ounce Caramel Creme Diet Pepsi's tonight. It's really yummy; very sweet though so I've been mixing it with regular Diet Pepsi and Seltzer. Add Rum and that could be real good!

A Surprising Movie

I had no idea what this movie was about before I began watching it. I really liked it! So many "stars" - Glenn Close, Ralph Fiennes, Allison Janney, Rita Wilson. The main character was played by Jamie Bell who was in Billy Elliot.

Stella came back. It's heaven & hell.

My Favorite Show

I was talking with "The Mother" this morning and she said her favorite show is Entourage; at least I think that's what she said. As I was typing Entourage, I got the feeling that it may not be the right show. Anyway, I said mine was Ugly Betty. I now think it may be my 2nd fav. I am watching Gilmore Girls right now on a 10 minute delay on my DVR. It started off really cool, a dream sequence. Then, after the commercial, Rory and Lorelai are at her parent's house, talking about finals, and then Emily says that they (her and Richard) have a surprise for Rory and Lorelai says "Oh-oh" and this:

"Did you name another building after her. No, I know, I know. You bought Yale and named it Rory." A little something like Harvard, Princeton, and Rory. Then she says... "Hey, I'll meet you at the Rory/Harvard game."

I immediately thought that I should blog that and got my MacBook out while thinking that maybe Ugly Betty just slightly beats out Gilmore Girls at the present as my fav, but if you factor in the fact that GG has been on since 2000 and I have loved it since then and have the first 6 seasons on DVD, it could very well edge past Betty.
